From: Leader Dogs- for the Blind
Solo Trans-America Bicycle Tour
June 16–August 4, 2012
Cycling for Leader Dogs is a 3,500 mile, trans-America solo bicycle tour from Portland, Oregon to Portland, Maine to increase awareness and raise funds for Leader Dogs for the Blind.
Lion Mark Mansell is a member of the La Center Lions Club (pictured at right. Mark is top middle in white T-shirt) in La Center, WA. Mark is traveling in partnership with Leader Dogs for the Blind and Lions Clubs along the trip route.
You can help those who are blind increase their travel independence through partnership with a Leader Dog by becoming a penny-per-mile sponsor.
The goal is to raise at least $35,000, or 1,000 sponsors pledging one penny per mile for every mile of the trip.
