RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) – A major recall has local pet store owners pulling bags of dog food off store shelves.
Diamond Pet Foods is recalling two types of dry dog food: the Lamb Meal and Rice Formula and the Puppy Dry Formula. The company says it could be contaminated with Salmonella.
But a store in Carytown sold us a 6 pound bag of the Lamb Meal and Rice Formula dog food that was on the recall list. The store employee said he couldn’t believe it.
He said he was sure PJ Petts in Carytown didn’t carry pet food on the recall list.
