Detectives Recovered Puppy; No Arrests Made
INDIANAPOLIS — A puppy stolen from the Humane Society of Indianapolis over the weekend was found safe Tuesday night.Token, a German shepherd-mix puppy, was smuggled out of the facility by a man and woman seen on surveillance video putting the dog in the woman’s sweatshirt, shelter officials said.Following leads, two north district detectives found the puppy safe late Tuesday.

The puppy was turned in to police hours later.The shelter plans to install eight to 10 additional cameras. More volunteers will also be brought in to keep a closer eye on people coming and going from the shelter.Anyone with information about the thefts is asked to call police or Crime Stoppers at 317-262-TIPS.
